Two Payment Methods.

To provide flexibility for our residents, Here Coliving supports two primary payment methods. Please review the details below to ensure your payment is processed correctly.

Alipay.

Pay by Alipay with your credit or debit card seamlessly.

This is our most efficient method for local transactions. By linking your preferred international or local card to the Alipay app, you can settle your account instantly in CNY.

Process: Download and link your bank card to Alipay.

Local bank transfer are also supported if you have a local Chinese bank account.

Wise.

For residents preferring traditional banking or those transferring funds from outside of China, we accept direct wire transfers.

Process: Simply send money from your Wise account to the landlord.

Paying by Alipay.

To provide flexibility for our residents, Here Coliving supports Alipay payment method. Please review the details below to ensure your payment is processed correctly.

Phase 1: Setup & Verification
  1. Download: Search for "Alipay" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Sign Up: Open the app and select "Sign Up". Use your international phone number and enter the SMS verification code you receive.
  3. Language Check: If it defaults to Chinese, tap Account (bottom right) → Settings (gear icon, top right) → General → Language and select English.
  4. Identity Verification (Critical): Go to Account → Settings → Account & Security → Identity Information. Follow the prompts to upload your Passport photo and complete the Face Verification (a quick selfie scan).
Phase 2: Linking Your Card

You do not need a Chinese bank account. Alipay natively supports international Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club cards.

  1. From the home screen, tap Account (bottom right).
  2. Tap Bank Cards → Add Bank Card.
  3. Enter your card details (number, expiry, CVV).
  4. Set a 6-digit Payment Password. Do not forget this. You will need it for almost every transaction.
Pro Tip: For transactions over 200 RMB, Alipay charges a 3% transaction fee. If you have multiple smaller items, paying for them separately can sometimes save you the fee.
Phase 3: How to Pay (The Scan)
  1. Tap the Scan icon on the top left of the Alipay home screen.
  2. Point your camera at the QR code or open the QR code from your phone gallery.
  3. Click and scan the appropriate QR code based on your property management:

  1. Enter the amount in RMB.
  2. Tap Confirm and enter your 6-digit payment password (or use Face ID if enabled).

Paying by Wise.

Step-by-Step Payment Guide
  1. Register: Use our Referral Link to set up your account and potentially reduce your first transfer fee.
  2. Access: Open the Wise app or log in via wise.com.
  3. Start Transfer: On your dashboard, click the "Send" button.
  4. Source of Funds: Select your payment method (e.g., Wise Balance or Bank Card/Debit Card).
  5. Currency Selection: Set the "Recipient gets" currency to CNY (Chinese Yuan). Enter the exact amount provided in your booking invoice.
  6. Add Recipient: Click "Add" and select "Someone else."
  7. Enter Account Details: Click "Enter bank details" and bypass the email field.
  8. Choose Platform: Under "Bank details," select either Alipay or WeChat.
  9. Input Recipient Info: Enter the Full Name and Alipay/WeChat ID exactly as provided by our team.
  10. Payment Reason: To ensure a smooth transfer, select "Pay for services" and then "Estate agency service."
  11. Review & Confirm: Double-check the details and click "Submit."
  12. Success: Your transfer is complete! Payments typically arrive within 24 hours.

  • Verification: Do not send funds until you have received the specific Alipay or WeChat ID directly from a Here Coliving representative.
  • Confirmation: Always send a screenshot of your transfer confirmation to your account manager for faster processing.
