Payment Methods & Financial Guideline
Navigating the financial landscape in China can be complex for international residents. To ensure your move is seamless, Here Coliving offers five flexible payment solutions designed to balance speed, cost-effectiveness, and security.
Option 1: International Bank Transfer (EUR / USD)
This is the most reliable method for sending funds directly from your home bank.
Process: We convert the CNY invoice to EUR or USD based on current DBS Bank FX rates.
Fees: A 1.5% service fee is added to cover international bank charges and currency fluctuations.
Exchange Rate Reference: DBS Foreign Exchange Rates.
Option 2: Alipay & WeChat Pay (Recommended)
The standard for payments in China. You can pay both the landlord and the agency directly in CNY.
Setup: Download the Alipay app and link your international Visa or Mastercard (using the "TourPass" or international card binding feature).
Fees: 0% additional fees from our side (standard bank card fees may apply via the app).
How to pay: Simply scan our official QR code provided by your account manager.
Option 3: Cash (CNY)
If you have already arrived in Shanghai, you may settle your balance in person.
Constraint: This option is not available for advance bookings from abroad.
Currency: Only CNY (Chinese Yuan) is accepted.
Option 4: Visa & Mastercard via POS Terminal
Pay at our Shanghai headquarters using your physical credit or debit card.
Fees: A 5% surcharge applies to all POS terminal transactions.
Note: Please check your bank’s daily international spending limits before arrival to ensure the transaction clears.
Option 5: Peer-to-Peer Money Exchange
You may arrange for a third party (friends or community exchange) to send CNY directly to the landlord or agency.
